Danby was founded in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1947, as a manufacturer of small electrical appliances and compact refrigerators.

In 1981, Danby was re-located to Guelph, Ontario. Danby celebrated our 55th anniversary in 2002 providing quality products to the Canadian consumer.

Danby opened its U.S. home office in Findlay, Ohio in 1992.

In 2002, Danby celebrated its 10th anniversary providing quality products to the American consumer.
